Welcome to Crooked Trunk Photography. This website
features my photographic works presented through photo galleries, essays and
book reviews.
I started off being a generalist; I would photograph any subject that caught my
fancy. The reason being that I consciously resisted confinement of my
photographic expression. However, lately I've discovered a particular
attraction towards garden related subjects. Perhaps it is the wide variety of
subject matter even in relatively close spaces. Perhaps it is the easier access
and less demand to haul equipment to remote places. Perhaps it is the sights
(colors and textures), sounds (water features, chimes, birds) and smell,
sometimes all three. Perhaps it is the challenge of seeing beyond the obvious.
My goal is to pleasantly surprise people with images of their own gardens by
presenting them in a fresh manner that is new to the viewer.
